Aircraft

An airliner's cabin, a business jet's mission —
and a documented history from the factory floor

The Lineage 1000E is Embraer's ultra-large business jet, developed from the E190 airliner. Its 25-metre cabin is divided into five zones — lounge, dining, office, bedroom — and its auxiliary fuel tanks nearly double the range of the airliner it is based on. Fewer than thirty were ever built,
which makes a well-kept, low-time example rare.

Process

Buying an 11 year-old aircraft on the eve of its heaviest inspection is either a trap or an opportunity

The difference is who runs the project

Acquired.

Transformed.

Delivered.

In January 2025 Celestique's market research pointed to one candidate: a 2014 Lineage 1000E in the United States — low hours, engines on programme, clean history. It also came with a landing gear overhaul falling due, the M12 inspection ahead of it, and an FAA-standard configuration that could not go onto an EASA register as it was.

Know exactly what you are buying — before you make an offer

Most buyers walk away from that combination. We priced it in before making an offer, planned every stage with its own risk assessment, and used the scheduled downtime to rebuild the cabin at the same time. No shortcuts
and no budget ceiling where it mattered: the gear went back to its OEM,
the check was a full M12, every cabin material went through a laboratory.

Assessment

STAGE 1
Pre-purchase Planning
The whole acquisition was designed as a project before the first call to the seller.
Explore Details
Market research across the global Lineage 1000 / 1000E fleet to shortlist candidates.
Specification analysed against EASA requirements and the mission profile of the target buyer.
Cost of scheduled maintenance and mandatory modifications calculated up front and built into the offer.
Project plan drawn with a risk assessment for every stage.
Legal, technical, financial and operational teams coordinated from a single point at Celestique.
STAGE 2
Physical Assessment
Documents can be reassuring. An aircraft has to be seen and flown.
Explore Details
Engineers dispatched to the aircraft's base in the United States.
Initial review of the airframe, systems, records and loose equipment.
Participation in a demonstration flight to confirm the aircraft's operational condition.
Go / no-go decision on proceeding to a full pre-purchase inspection.

Every system tested.

Every finding priced.

STAGE 3
Pre-purchase Inspection
Every system, log, and flight hour was independently verified.
Explore Details
Aircraft relocated to West Star Aviation, East Alton, Illinois — the largest Embraer authorised service centre for the Lineage 1000 and a long-standing Celestique partner.
All systems functionally checked; airframe inspected for non-conformities.
Engines and APU borescoped internally and performance-tested.
Complete records audit for consistency and conformity with EASA regulations.
All findings collected into a single rectification plan.

Acquisition

STAGE 4
Findings & Deal Closure
The legal team carried the process through to closing, agreeing the purchase agreement, escrow and closing mechanics, so nothing remained unresolved when the aircraft changed hands.
Explore Details
Rectification plan used as the basis for negotiation: every finding allocated to seller or buyer.
Purchase agreement, escrow and closing mechanics agreed by the legal team.
No finding left open at closing.
STAGE 5
Transaction & Registration
After many hours of the legal team's work and the closure of every finding, the aircraft was inspected once more by Celestique's team.
Explore Details
Aircraft, complete documentation and loose equipment accepted at the delivery location in July 2025.
FAA registration cancelled on 13 August 2025 and changed to San Marino for the maintenance and refurbishment project.
Approvals and licences for commercial operation under the AOC initiated in parallel with the maintenance input — so that no time was lost after delivery.

Registration is the easy part. Bringing an FAA aircraft to EASA standard is where the real work begins.

Transformation

Six months in the hangar.
Nothing left for later.

STAGE 6
Maintenance & Refurbishment
The aircraft was purchased just before its M12 — the heaviest scheduled work scope on the Lineage. Celestique and West Star Aviation used that downtime to do everything at once.
Explore Details
M12 (144-month) inspection at West Star Aviation, East Alton — the heaviest scheduled check on the type.
Landing gear — all gear removed and sent to Liebherr-Aerospace, the OEM, for complete disassembly and overhaul: zero-time condition, full OEM traceability.
EASA compliance — removal of equipment not compliant with EASA regulations; conversion from FAA imperial to EASA metric standard.
Avionics — CPDLC / FANS 1/A installation for North Atlantic and European datalink mandates.
Cabin — interior stripped to the structure and rebuilt.
Aircraft maintenance (MX) schedule evaluated and cleared for 12 months of non-stop operation.

Chosen by hand.
Certified in the lab.

STAGE 6
Interior Redesign
The aircraft was purchased just before its M12 — the heaviest scheduled work scope on the Lineage. Celestique and West Star Aviation used that downtime to do everything at once.

STAGE 6
Engineering & Connectivity
Several design organisations were engaged for the design change. Engineering drawings and instructions were prepared for the removal of non-approved equipment, the installation of the new interior, and a innovative structural design for the fuselage-mounted antenna of a Gogo Galileo HDX system — low-earth-orbit high-speed satellite connectivity with airliner-grade speed, on a cabin built in 2013.

Industry-first installation on an Embraer E190 airframe

The layout was retained. Everything the passenger sees or touches is new.

Before

From vision to reality.
Every detail, reconsidered and refined.

Repositioning

Across the Atlantic, home to Riga

STAGE 7
Delivery to the buyer
In February 2026 T7-ORD smoothly crossed the Atlantic and landed at Riga International Airport where it was delivered with all its gratique to the new owner — 13 months after the decision to buy, 6 months after it entered the hangar.
The largest private jet operator in the Baltics and Scandinavia, with a fleet built around Embraer types including the Lineage 1000 — was the natural buyer. By spring 2026 the aircraft was flying charter across Europe: an eleven year-old FAA jet had become an EASA aircraft with a fresh M12, OEM-overhauled gear, FANS 1/A, Galileo HDX and a cabin that had never carried a passenger.
OUR APPROACH

The right pre-owned aircraft, run as a project, becomes an as-new aircraft for a fraction of the cost of new

This project was Celestique's responsibility from the first market screen to the delivery flight — disciplined acquisition, comprehensive transformation and repositioning to the right buyer. That is the difference between buying an aircraft
and acquiring one.

Smart aircraft investment, managed end-to-end

Acquired.
